About Virginia Tech

Welcome to the Boulevard R Roadmap, an innovative, nationally available secure Internet-based tool for exploring and planning your financial future. Boulevard R Roadmap is partnering with VT Financial Planning to enhance the students' learning experience by using the Roadmap for classes and projects!

The VT Financial Planning Program prepares undergraduate students for a career in the rapidly growing financial services industry. Opportunities include positions with financial planning and wealth management firms as well as other companies that provide related products and services such as banks, insurance companies, brokerage firms and accounting firms; providers and employers offering employee benefit planning/consulting; or other private- or public-sector outlets that support personal financial management and literacy. Program graduates are qualified to take the comprehensive CFP Certification Examination administered by the CFP Board.

Virginia Tech does not award the CFP® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER designation. The right to use the marks CFP® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER is granted by the CFP Board to those persons who have met its rigorous educational standards, passed the CFP Board Comprehensive CFP Certification Examination, satisfied a work experience requirement, and agreed to abide by the CFP Board Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility. Only persons registered with the CFP Board are permitted to sit for the CFP certification examination. CFP® certificates and licenses are issued only by the CFP Board.

One of only 2 Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredited business colleges offering a CFP Board registered financial planning program in a business college ranked in the Top 50 by U.S. News & World Reports.
