About Aaron Smith
Aaron Smith believes in a value based philosophy. Engaging his clients in conversation about their goals both short and long term while determining the important aspects of their lives; family, spirituality, travel, giving etc. Once those factors are obtained he then recommends appropriate solutions to meet defined goals. Aaron believes in family, helping others and education and using these beliefs as his guiding principles to inform and reform financial literacy.
Aaron Smith is an accomplished financial consultant, speaker, and trainer who has delivered financial education, training, and workshops for a multitude of organizations to include the Richmond Police Department, Genworth Financial, Inc., and the U.S. Navy. In addition, Aaron is an adjunct professor through the Community College Workforce Alliance where he works to provide financial education in the workplace setting. Aaron has been featured in Inside Business, The Richmond Times Dispatch, as a guest on the 12:00 Noon News with Gwen Williams of Channel 8-WRIC, and was most recently featured in a segment that aired on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. Aaron is the President of A. W. Smith Financial Group, Inc., a Richmond-area based comprehensive financial planning firm. His first book, In the Black: Live Faithfully, Prosper Financially has been published by Harper Collins and is scheduled for a May 2009 release.Experience

Smith Financial Group, Inc., which provides specialized financial planning for pre-retirees, retirees, and business owners. In addition, Aaron is an accomplished speaker and trainer who has delivered financial education, training, and workshops for a multitude of organizations that include the Richmond Police Department, Genworth Financial, Inc., and the U.S. Navy.
